Starting Out

First Job CV Kit

Turn school, volunteering, responsibilities and informal experience into a clear, professional first CV.

£14.99Digital download · Word · PDF · Excel · Canva

£14.99 total — a one-off digital purchase. The Progress Edit is not VAT registered. No VAT is charged on your purchase and we cannot issue a VAT invoice.

Access is normally immediate after successful payment. Your secure download link is emailed to you, stays valid for 30 days and can be used up to five times — each use starts a new download of the ZIP. Files you save are yours to keep.

Personal-use licence for one intended user — One purchase covers one intended CV owner. The adult buyer may use the kit for their own applications, or buy it for one other person such as their child — but not both from the same purchase. This is not a team, school-wide, cohort, business or organisational licence. Read the licence.

We sell to customers purchasing from the United Kingdom — England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland — only. Orders with a non-UK billing country cannot be fulfilled and are refunded in full. The person placing the order must be aged 18 or over. The one intended user the kit is bought for may be under 18 — for example a parent or carer buying it for their child.

Written for anyone applying for their first role, the First Job CV Kit starts from the assumption that you already have evidence worth presenting — school projects, sport, caring responsibilities, volunteering, part-time and informal work.

The guide PDF explains what UK employers look for in an early CV, and two editable one-page Word CV templates give you a clean professional structure so you never begin with a blank page. PDF previews show each template in use, two completed example CVs and an example cover letter show the wording in context, an Excel application tracker keeps your applications organised, and a Canva template access sheet shows you how to open and edit the templates in Canva if you prefer.

The two .docx CV templates, the Canva template access sheet and the .xlsx application tracker are editable. The guide, template previews, example CVs and example cover letter are read-only PDFs.

Instant digital download. We recommend opening the kit on a laptop or desktop with Microsoft Word and Excel, or compatible software. Files you save are yours to keep; the secure delivery link lasts 30 days and can be used up to five times (each use starts a new download of the ZIP).
