About
Documents that carry weight
The Progress Edit makes the documents people reach for at the moments that matter — a first CV, a step up, a change of direction.
Why we exist
Most people faced with a blank CV don't need more advice. They need a well-made starting point: the right structure, sensible headings, and prompts that help them remember what they've actually done.
That gap is what The Progress Edit exists to fill. We write practical guidance, build templates that hold up under editing, and finish each product with a checklist so you know when it's genuinely done.
Everything here is written for a UK audience and kept deliberately practical: no jargon, no theory, just the wording and structure that help your experience read clearly.

Our standards
Four rules we hold ourselves to
Plain British English
No jargon, no filler, no motivational padding. If a sentence isn't doing work, it doesn't ship.
Structure before style
Every document starts from the question a reader will actually ask, then earns its formatting.
Editable, always
You receive working files, not locked artwork. Change anything you need to change.
Honest about what a document can do
We describe what each kit helps you do. We never promise interviews, offers or outcomes.

From Sarah
Why I created The Progress Edit
I created The Progress Edit because I know how much easier progress becomes when the right structure is already in place. My career has taken me from business administration and accountancy support into operations management and global business planning, where I lead complex improvement projects, build practical systems and manage and develop teams. Being involved in hiring and helping people progress has shown me how difficult it can be to turn genuine experience into a clear, confident CV. I wanted to bring the same practical, structured approach to CV building: straightforward guidance, useful workbooks and polished templates that help you move forward without jargon or guesswork.
